Our Story

venMan didn't start as a software company. It began with a real venue: the C2 Ost Club in Karlsruhe, founded in early 2025 as a cultural space for concerts, club nights, and artistic expression. c2-ost.club

When Adrian Ziser took over the former Culteum space in Karlsruhe's eastern district in December 2024, he had a vision beyond just opening another nightclub. After months of intensive renovation – removing 90 tons of material and adding 60 tons of infrastructure – the club opened in March 2025.

From day one, we realized that managing a modern cultural venue requires sophisticated tools. Equipment rentals, staff scheduling across multiple events, financial settlements with promoters, sound system management, and real-time coordination – existing tools weren't built for this complexity.

So we did what any technology-minded venue operators would do: we built our own tools. Starting with spreadsheets to track our renovation progress, then databases for equipment and bookings, and eventually custom software to automate our venue operations.

What began as internal automation tools for our own venue quickly evolved into something bigger. As we refined our workflows and learned from each event, other venue operators and event organizers noticed what we built and wanted the same capabilities. That's how venMan was born – not from a whiteboard in a startup office, but from the real challenges of building and running a cultural space. Every feature solves a problem we've faced. Every workflow reflects lessons learned from actual operations.
