With Open Decks, the venue raffles off DJ slots for a night. You register with your DJ details, follow the draw on the same page, and confirm your spot if you win. No account needed.
Requirements
- The venue's public Open Decks link. If no lottery is running, the page says "No Open Deck lottery is currently active. Check back soon!".
- An open registration phase — the Registration ends in: countdown shows the time left.
Registering
- Open the Open Decks page. At the top you see the event, date, slot times, and the Participants and Winner Slots numbers; About this event lists what winners receive — for example free entry, guest list spots, or free drinks.
- Tap Register Now.
- Fill in the Registration Form: Name, Email, and Phone are required.
- Under DJ Information, enter your DJ Name / Stage Name (required); Genre (optional), Years of Experience (optional), and your Demo Link (optional) are optional, as are your social media profiles.
- Set your BPM Range on the slider (60 to 200 BPM).
- If offered, pick your Preferred Slot — or leave No preference.
- Accept the terms and conditions with the checkbox.
- Tap Submit Registration.
Result
You see "Registration Successful!" and below it your personal link with the note "Save this link to view your results". Save it — you also receive it by email. Through this link you can check your own status at any time.
The draw
Once the winners are drawn, the page shows the Winners section. Start Draw plays the draw as an animation, after which the winners for each slot are revealed.
If you win
- Open your personal link — you see "You Won!" with your slot.
- Confirm within the displayed deadline using Confirm Your Spot. The Confirm within countdown shows the remaining time; 48 hours is typical. If the deadline passes, someone else moves up.
- Optional: upload an Artist Photo and write a Short Bio (up to 700 characters) — the venue uses both for the announcement.
If you can't make it after all, release your spot with Actually, no.
Tips & pitfalls
- Didn't win? Depending on the venue, the page shows Your Consolation Prize with a discount code for entry — show it at the door.
- Without your saved personal link you cannot check your status — keep it until after the draw.
